Hi friends,
Happy New Year! I hope you’re all feeling energized after the holiday break (and managed to get offline for a bit).
What’s in store for us in 2023? I’m no psychic, but here are my predictions:
AI will be like the internet was in 1994 — confusing, a little intimidating, but eventually an integral part of daily work life.
The recession won’t be as bad as the headlines say (it rarely is). It may require a little more agility from us, but we’ll adapt and eventually forget what it felt like to coast through the peak of an economic boom.
Remote work is, yes, still here to stay.
Office perks may shrink (RIP Goldman Sachs coffee cart), but we shall overcome. You probably didn’t want to be in the office anyway.
Most hired role of 2023 will be channel-specific social media specialists, as brands shift to relying more on organic growth over paid.
People to watch: Big things are in store for Founding100 members Jamie Lee, Chloe Lee, Christina Ducruet, Sam Tichnor, Erica Chidi, and Stephanie Lee. All are working to build startups at a seed stage or earlier.

Founding members are working together.
We put out a search for a Brand Marketing & Special Projects role at Mezcla, founded by Founding100 member Griffin Spolansky. We just filled that seat with Afshan Mohammad. Congrats to you both!
Our friends at Looni, co-founded by Founding100 members Tatiana Steel and Chelsea Leyland, were looking for a Fractional CMO. We sent Founding100 member Jenna Stauffer their way and she kicked off this week!
